Gary Stittgen

Greetings! Thank you for visiting my biography page. I hope some basic information about me will help you to feel comfortable to schedule an appointment with me.

I am a Licensed Master of Social Work with multiple years of experience assisting individuals, groups, and families, in navigating through moments of crisis, acute mental health disorders, substance abuse, couples counseling, behavioral issues, and atypical personalities.

I understand these topics are difficult and sensitive, sometimes taboo. I promise when you share your story my heart and ears will be open, and I will offer meaningful responses, with evidenced based practices that you can engage in towards real change.

My education at Fordham University, where I obtained my Master’s of Social Work, and Loyola University, my Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Statistics, allows me to be both logical and empathic for every person I meet. Mainly using concepts and practices of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Gottman Method, and more, I am confident in finding a way to empower you.

If you share with me I am going to do my most to empathize and connect with you.
